A proven, non-surgical solution for every form of alopecia. In men and women. Patches, total scalp, or universal — custom-mapped to your case.
Alopecia is an autoimmune condition where the body attacks its own hair follicles, causing hair to fall out. It comes in several forms — alopecia areata (patches), alopecia totalis (complete scalp loss), and alopecia universalis (all body hair). There's no cure, and existing medical treatments work for some people and not others.
What it does to you emotionally is the part most clinicians don't address. The unpredictability, the visible difference, the constant adjusting. We see it every day. Most of our alopecia clients say SMP is the first thing that gave them control back.
SMP works for every form of alopecia, regardless of how progressed. For patchy areata, we blend the patches into surrounding hair. For totalis and universalis, we create the look of a full, freshly-shaved head across the entire scalp. The result reads as you, with hair, by choice.
Specific advantages of scalp micropigmentation for this particular condition, beyond the general SMP story.
Patches, total, universal. We've treated every stage and pattern of alopecia.
You decide what your hair looks like. Daily, you decide nothing — the result is fixed.
The most common worry is whether it reads as 'tattoo'. It doesn't. Even at conversational distance, SMP looks like real follicles.
Compatible with any treatment you're on. Pigments are inert and skin-tested before treatment.

3 to 4 hours. We lay the foundation across the treatment area.
Spaced 7 to 14 days apart. We build density to the natural finish.
Free included touch-up. Beyond that, every 5 to 7 years or as new areas appear.
We design every alopecia treatment expecting this possibility. If new areas appear, we can extend the SMP into them during touch-up sessions. Most clients prefer this to the unpredictability of trying to chase the condition.
Yes. SMP pigments are inert organic compounds with no documented interactions with alopecia medications. We patch-test before treatment to confirm.
Eyebrow microblading is a different technique. We refer to specialists for eyebrows. SMP at Scalp Revival is scalp-focused.
Currently no Australian health fund covers SMP. We offer payment plans to make treatment accessible.
